About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP, Governance, Risk, and Compliance to lead a team of professionals dedicated to ensuring that the company's payment processing products and services adhere to the highest standards of governance, risk management, and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining the payment enterprise compliance program, serving as the primary contact for all regulatory and internal audits, and developing and implementing internal controls, policies, and training to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role requires a leader who can work cross-departmentally to ensure company-wide compliance, conduct compliance reviews, and stay abreast of industry and regulatory changes. The VP will also be involved in the development of KYC/OFAC policies, and information-sharing procedures, and will oversee the documentation of risk controls in a compliance management system.Candidates for this role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of compliance experience in a related function within the financial services or financial technology sectors, with at least 3 years' of multi-state compliance experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in constructing and managing compliance programs, a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, growth environment. Experience with money transmission and alternative payment types, as well as relevant certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or equivalent, is preferred. The role demands a strategic thinker who can identify and mitigate risks, ensure timely compliance issue remediation, and maintain a high level of oversight from various compliance committees.
