The System Vice President, Human Resources Business Partners, reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, has system-wide accountability for a broad array of HR strategic partnerships focusing on employee engagement and retention, compensation and benefits, employee and labor relations, talent and succession management, workforce planning, and alignment of HR strategies to the vision and strategies of business units across City of Hope. This leader provides strategic HR solutions and operational leadership across the system, partnering with HR leadership and Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated, standardized, and high-impact human capital strategies that drive organizational performance and culture.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Lead system-wide HR business partner strategy aligned with organizational goals and business unit priorities
  • Partner with executive and operational leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, culture, and transformation initiatives
  • Deliver integrated HR solutions across talent management, workforce planning, compensation, and employee engagement
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to ensure alignment and execution of strategic HR programs
  • Provide expert consultation on performance management, succession planning, and leadership development
  • Oversee employee and labor relations strategy, including investigations and resolution across the system
  • Develop and implement innovative talent acquisition and succession planning strategies
  • Drive consistency in HR policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization
  • Utilize HR analytics to inform business decisions and improve workforce outcomes
  • Apply demonstrated expertise in California healthcare, labor relations, and regulatory environments to ensure compliant, strategic HR practices

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • 15+ years of relevant HR experience, including at least 7 years in a senior leadership role
  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or academic environments strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise across HR disciplines including talent management, organizational development, compensation, and workforce planning
  • Proven ability to shape and execute enterprise HR strategies that drive business outcomes
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence and partner with senior executives
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to drive decision-making and performance outcomes
  • Ability to lead in a complex, matrixed organization and navigate change effectively
