Vice President, International Accounting (Boston)

We’re partnering with a leading global private equity investor with a multi-decade track record of partnering with management teams to build and transform businesses across industries and geographies.
As the firm continues to scale its global platform, they are seeking a Vice President of International Accounting to lead and oversee all non-U.S. accounting operations and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and scalability of the international finance function.
This is a senior leadership role within the International Finance Group, with broad responsibility across accounting, reporting, controls, statutory compliance, and cross-border financial operations.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead and develop the International Accounting team, setting priorities, standards, and close governance
  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for all non-U.S. subsidiaries
  • Oversee multi-currency accounting, intercompany activity, and global consolidation inputs
  • Manage statutory reporting cycles across international entities, including audits and filings
  • Serve as primary liaison with external auditors, in-country providers, and service firms
  • Partner closely with Tax, Legal, Compliance, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting
  • Oversee entity management activities, including restructurings, incorporations, and liquidations
  • Drive global controls framework, audit readiness, and risk management initiatives
  • Lead process improvement, automation, and systems enhancements across international accounting
What we’re looking for:
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • CPA or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Strong background in Big 4 public accounting and/or private equity/investment management
  • Deep experience with multi-entity, multi-currency, and international accounting operations
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS (local GAAP exposure a plus)
  • Experience managing teams and external service providers across jurisdictions
  • Workday and/or ERP systems experience strongly preferred
