Location: Chicago, Illinois | Minneapolis, Minnesota

Our client is an established investment banking advisory firm providing independent, solutions-based advice to shareholders, boards, and management teams across M&A, capital markets, and strategic alternatives. The firm has executed hundreds of transactions across a broad range of industry sectors, both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead due diligence efforts, client communication on active engagements, and represent the firm in client and advisor meetings

• Drive corporate marketing initiatives, including pitch and proposal development, prospect research, and sales presentations

• Own the full transaction executionlifecycle:

• Lead due diligence workstreams and oversee detailed financial analyses

• Direct company valuations and evaluate transaction structuring alternatives

• Oversee preparation of client-facing materials, including pitch decks and confidential information memoranda

• Partner directly with senior leadership across a range of industries and complex transactions

• Manage multiple concurrent engagements with high autonomy, with a clear path toward generating and independently executing transactions

• Mentor and develop junior team members, and contribute to broader firm-wide initiatives

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in finance, economics, or accounting
• 6+ years of relevant investment banking experience with a well-regarded firm - M&A, leveraged finance, financial sponsors, restructuring, and/or debt capital markets
• Strong analytical skills and deep knowledge of corporate finance theory
• Advanced financial/cash flow modeling expertise (LBO, accretion/dilution, pro forma synergy analysis)
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong grasp of valuation theory, methodologies, and practical application
• Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting directly to clients
• Highly detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to quality work product
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
