The Opportunity

The Vice President of Manufacturing (USCAN) is responsible for setting and executing the end-to-end manufacturing strategy across all U.S. and Canada sites. This role drives operational excellence, scalability, and performance through a disciplined focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) and the deployment of Lean principles within a value stream-based operating model.

This leader collaborates closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, HSE, HR, and Finance to ensure manufacturing capabilities align with business growth, customer needs, and long-term objectives. The VP will drive operational modernization, strengthen value stream ownership, and cultivate a high-performing culture that consistently delivers customer-focused results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

What you will do?

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a multi-site manufacturing strategy aligned to business growth, customer demand, and operational scalability.
  • Establish and embed a value stream-based organizational model with clear end-to-end accountability for performance, flow, and customer outcomes.
  • Translate enterprise strategy into operational priorities, SQDC metrics, and execution roadmaps.
  • Partner with S&OP to align demand, capacity, and resource planning across value streams and sites.

Value Stream Ownership & Flow

  • Implement and lead value stream structures with ownership from raw material through finished goods delivery.
  • Drive flow-based thinking and execution, reducing handoffs, bottlenecks, and lead times across the manufacturing network.
  • Enable value stream leaders with clear accountability, performance visibility, and decision-making authority.
  • Align metrics, incentives, and governance to reinforce end-to-end value delivery vs. functional silos.

Operational Excellence (SQDC & Lean)

  • Champion a Safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all EH&S and regulatory standards.
  • Deploy and sustain SQDC performance management systems, including tiered accountability and visual management.
  • Lead Lean transformation initiatives including value stream mapping, standard work, waste elimination, and continuous flow.
  • Establish consistent operating rhythms (Gemba walks, daily management, KPI reviews) across all sites and value streams.
  • Drive continuous improvement in throughput, quality, delivery performance, and cost efficiency.

Performance & P&L Accountability

  • Own full manufacturing P&L across USCAN, including cost, productivity, and capital deployment.
  • Deliver year-over-year improvements in cost, efficiency, and operational margins.
  • Optimize resources across value streams including labor, materials, logistics, and overhead.
  • Align capital strategy with growth, capacity expansion, and operational modernization.
  • Ensure capacity and capability alignment across sites and value streams to meet current and future demand.
  • Lead footprint optimization and standardization while maintaining flexibility for growth.
  • Partners with supply chain strengthen end-to-end value stream performance and resilience.

Quality & Customer Focus

  • Ensure robust, standardized quality systems across all sites and value streams.
  • Drive a culture of zero defects and proactive quality ownership.
  • Partner with commercial and project teams to consistently meet customer-specific requirements and commitments.

Leadership & Culture

  • Build and develop a high-performing leadership team, including value stream leaders.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and transparency.
  • Coach leaders on Lean leadership behaviors, flow-based management, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Act as a visible, hands-on leader across sites.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Engineering to ensure design for manufacturability and value stream efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure material flow and supplier alignment to value stream needs.
  • Align with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, and performance management.
  • Provide executive-level insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in Operations Management or Lean Management.
  • Proven track record of leading value stream-based organizations, with end-to-end ownership from raw material through finished goods, driving flow, accountability, and customer alignment
  • Demonstrated success in Lean transformation, including value stream mapping, flow optimization, and waste elimination at scale

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including multi-site and multi-value-stream responsibility
  • Strong P&L ownership and financial acumen
  • Proven ability to lead in complex, high-growth, and fast-paced environments.
