POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President, Marketing is the strategic marketing leader responsible for commercialization strategy, market development, brand planning, and launch readiness for CG Oncology's lead asset, cretostimogene grenadenrepvec. This leader will serve as the architect of the brand and multi-indication launch strategy across NMIBC, including BCG-Unresponsive High-Risk NMIBC, Intermediate-Risk NMIBC, and future life-cycle opportunities.
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the VP, Marketing will own the integrated brand plan, positioning, messaging, critical success factors, and go-to-market approach. The role requires an enterprise commercial leader who can shape the market, drive physician adoption, build a high-performing marketing organization, and partner cross-functionally to support CG Oncology's first commercial launch.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Brand Strategy & Multi-Indication Launch Ownership:
- Own the lead asset brand plan, including brand vision, positioning, messaging, value proposition, competitive differentiation, critical success factors, and CG Oncology's strategic narrative in bladder cancer.
- Architect the multi-indication and life-cycle strategy, sequencing priorities across BCG-Unresponsive High-Risk NMIBC, Intermediate-Risk NMIBC, future indications, future assets, and key market-development milestones.
Launch Readiness, Brand Planning & Growth Strategy:
- Lead marketing-owned launch readiness and brand planning, including tactical planning, customer segmentation, messaging pull-through, agency management, field/customer materials, and launch-critical marketing deliverables.
- Translate brand and market strategy into an integrated growth roadmap with clear owners, milestones, decision points, budget assumptions, performance measures, risk mitigations, future indication planning, market expansion opportunities, and life-cycle priorities.
Market Development, Insights & Competitive Positioning:
- Lead disease-state education and market development to increase awareness of unmet needs and support readiness across community and academic treatment environments.
- Define competitive positioning and share-capture strategy while leading customer insights, market research, competitive intelligence, segmentation, forecasting inputs, and analyses across indications, customer types, and patient/caregiver needs.
Promotional Execution, MLR/AdPromo & External Engagement:
- Align positioning, messaging, promotional execution, field tools, and customer-facing materials across stakeholders and field teams while partnering through MLR/AdPromo review in a timely, compliant, and disciplined manner.
- Own commercial congress strategy, promotional presence, key customer and thought leader engagement, and external representation at urology and oncology forums consistent with CG Oncology values and compliance expectations.
Marketing Strategy & Cross-Functional Growth Leadership:
- Serve as the senior marketing strategy leader across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales, Commercial Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Clinical Development, Finance, Communications, and Patient Advocacy to align brand, market, portfolio, and enterprise growth priorities.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive biotechnology or pharmaceutical commercial leadership experience.
- Significant oncology commercialization experience required; uro-oncology, genitourinary cancers, immuno-oncology, biologics, or specialty oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum seven (7) years within a U.S. commercial organization with responsibility for pre-launch and/or in-line marketing, including demonstrated success participating in or leading a major launch.
- Successful recent (within past 3 years) product launch experience in competitive and complex therapeutic environments preferred, with demonstrated success participating in or leading a major launch.
- Demonstrated track record of formulating commercial strategies and executing marketing campaigns.
- Experience in the buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, and complex commercial environments required; strong understanding of community and academic treatment environments required.
- Proven experience hiring, developing, and leading high-performing marketing teams.
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience influencing executive-level stakeholders in complex, cross-functional commercial environments.
Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of drug development, regulatory review, AdPromo/MLR, and commercialization processes for specialty products.
- Strong financial acumen, including budget ownership, forecasting inputs, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based collaboration tools required.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require; estimated travel greater than 20%.
Preferred Education: MBA or relevant advanced degree strongly preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience commercializing innovative, first-in-class, or differentiated therapies preferred.
- Experience building organizations and capabilities in pre-commercial or high-growth biotechnology companies preferred.
- Experience working with executive leadership, Boards of Directors, and investors preferred.
