Description

The Commercial team at EyePoint focuses on bringing innovative therapies to patients by ensuring healthcare providers, partners, and communities have access to treatment, reimbursement, and are able to use the product appropriately. This team uses data-driven insights, market access strategies, and a patient-centric approach to improve awareness, access, and adoption of EyePoint's therapies to help improve vision outcomes for people with serious retinal diseases.

The Vice President, Head of Marketing will lead the development and execution of EyePoint Pharmaceuticals'' U.S. promotional strategy for DURAVYU (vorolanib intravitreal insert) across HCP, peer-to-peer, and patient marketing channels in preparation for the anticipated wAMD launch. This executive leader will build and scale a high-performing marketing organization, establish differentiated brand positioning in a highly competitive retina marketplace, and serve as a strategic member of the Commercial Leadership Team.

EyePoint is building its commercial infrastructure to support the anticipated launch of DURAVYU, a first-in-class bioerodible intravitreal insert containing a tyrosine kinase inhibitor with a differentiated multi-MOA and clinical profile.

Reporting to the SVP, Marketing and Strategy, this role will work cross-functionally with Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, and Clinical Development to ensure marketing strategy is fully integrated with field execution, payer strategy, and clinical data milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Launch Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute the comprehensive US promotional launch plan for DURAVYU in wet AMD.
  • Lead the integrated commercial marketing plan across HCP, peer-to-peer, and patient channels.
  • Create and manage launch timelines, resource plans, and pivotal milestone tracking.
  • Coordinate cross-functional launch readiness activities with Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Supply Chain.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, and clinical data readouts to adapt strategy in real time.
  • Develop pre-launch, launch, and post-launch marketing plans aligned with regulatory and clinical milestones.

Marketing Organization Leadership

  • Build and scale the internal marketing organization from pre-launch to commercial execution.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team spanning HCP marketing, peer-to-peer marketing and patient marketing. Future expansion of team scope is expected closer to launch.
  • Establish a culture of innovation, accountability, data-driven decision-making, and operational excellence.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports and broader team members.
  • Manage the marketing budget and ensure optimal resource allocation across functional areas.

Brand Strategy & Differentiation

  • Craft and execute a differentiated brand positioning for DURAVYU in a crowded retina landscape.
  • Develop messaging and campaigns that highlight DURAVYU''s unique MOA and and clinical evidence.
  • Establish DURAVYU''s identity in a market of anti-VEGFs, other TKIs, and emerging gene therapies.
  • Ensure consistency and impact of brand messaging across all promotional channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Lead competitive positioning and response strategy.

Strategic Commercial Leadership

  • Serve as a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and the CCO to ensure marketing strategy is aligned with field execution, payer strategy, and clinical milestones.
  • Provide marketing insights to inform sales force deployment, payer contracting, and distribution strategy.
  • Represent EyePoint externally at key retina congresses and industry meetings.
  • Present marketing strategy and performance to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all promotional materials and programs comply with FDA regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance on promotional review processes.
  • Maintain adherence to all healthcare compliance policies.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor''s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

Experience

  • 15+ years of progressive pharmaceutical or biotechnology commercial and marketing experience.
  • Significant expertise in US pharmaceutical launch strategy, brand strategy, and cross-functional commercial leadership.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading marketing organizations through product launch and commercialization.
  • Experience in buy-and-bill, physician-administered specialty therapeutics, retina experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of HCP marketing, peer-to-peer marketing, and patient marketing disciplines.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute differentiated brand positioning in competitive specialty markets.
  • Experience managing large marketing budgets and agency relationships.

Knowledge & Capabilities

  • Deep understanding of the retina disease area, physician mindset, and treatment paradigm.
  • Expertise in multichannel pharmaceutical marketing and digital engagement.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership capabilities.
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-growing biotechnology environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Ophthalmology or retinal disease market experience.
  • Experience launching first-in-class or novel mechanism therapies.
  • Biotechnology launch experience within a pre-commercial or emerging-growth organization.
