SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Vice President of Medical Group Administration provides strategic and operational leadership across physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) practice operations while driving success in Penn State Healths value-based care (VBC) initiatives.

This executive leader plays a critical role in strengthening our unified medical group, optimizing ambulatory performance, improving patient access, and advancing population health outcomes across government and commercial value-based contracts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or related field
• 10 years of healthcare operations experience, ideally within an integrated delivery system
• 7 years of formal leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of ambulatory care operations, provider compensation models, and revenue cycle workflows
• Extensive background in payor contracting and program alignment between health systems and payors
• Expertise in EMR systems (Epic) strongly preferred and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills across multidisciplinary teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Masters degree
• Demonstrated ability to work within a matrixed health system environment
• Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
• Ability to influence change and drive results through collaboration and data-driven insights
