The Vice President of Audiology will oversee the organization's teleaudiology department, professional development initiatives, and sales training teams to ensure alignment between clinical excellence, patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and business growth. This role requires a strategic leader who can bridge clinical expertise with scalable systems, technology-driven care delivery, provider development, and cross-functional collaboration. This individual will serve as a key thought leader within the organization and will partner closely with executive leadership to shape the future of hybrid hearing healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Leadership & Standards

    • Develop, implement, and maintain nationwide clinical standards, protocols, and best practices across all hearing healthcare operations.
    • Ensure consistency in patient care delivery, verification practices, counseling, documentation, and overall clinical quality.
    • Lead initiatives focused on improving patient outcomes, patient satisfaction, return reduction, and operational efficiency.
    • Establish measurable clinical KPIs and monitor performance across regions and provider teams.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, payer, and regulatory requirements related to audiology and hearing healthcare services.
    • Partner with operations leadership to drive standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
    • Serve as a clinical resource and advisor to executive leadership on emerging trends, technology, regulations, and industry best practices.

    Teleaudiology Strategy & Operations

    • Develop and execute a long-term teleaudiology strategy designed to support scalable nationwide hearing healthcare delivery.
    • Build, oversee, and optimize a teleaudiology department that services B2B partner locations across multiple states.
    • Lead the integration of remote care models, including synchronous and asynchronous teleaudiology solutions, remote programming, virtual follow-up care, and hybrid service delivery.
    • Ensure operational excellence, provider utilization, scheduling optimization, and quality assurance within the teleaudiology department.
    • Establish workflows, protocols, staffing models, and performance metrics to support efficient and compliant teleaudiology operations.
    • Collaborate with technology, operations, legal, credentialing, and compliance teams to ensure scalable and compliant telehealth delivery.
    • Identify opportunities to expand access to care through innovative remote care solutions.

    Professional Development & Training

      • Oversee provider professional development initiatives across the organization.
      • Lead the development and implementation of clinical education programs, onboarding pathways, continuing education initiatives, and competency-based training.
      • Ensure providers maintain strong clinical, counseling, and patient experience skills.
      • Partner with leadership to create career development pathways for audiologists and hearing instrument specialists.
      • Foster a culture of accountability, coaching, continuous improvement, and clinical excellence.

      Sales Training & Performance Support

        • Oversee sales training initiatives that align patient-centered care with business growth objectives.
        • Collaborate with sales and operations leadership to develop training programs that improve patient engagement, treatment acceptance, and overall clinic performance.
        • Ensure sales training programs remain clinically appropriate, ethical, and aligned with organizational standards.
        • Support the development of patient journey frameworks, counseling strategies, and provider communication best practices.

        Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

          • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including teleaudiologists, training leaders, clinical educators, and support personnel.
          • Build strong partnerships with operations, sales, technology, payer relations, marketing, and executive leadership teams.
          • Participate in strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives.
