What You’ll Deliver * Set engineering strategy: Align technical priorities with capital plans, operational needs, and business objectives. * Govern technical delivery: Establish standards for engineering quality, design assurance, constructability, and regulatory compliance. * Lead engineering organizations: Build, develop, and retain high-performing multidisciplinary engineering teams. * Integrate EPC execution: Align engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, and external partners. * Protect project outcomes: Address technical risk, design changes, cost exposure, schedule impacts, and performance issues. * Advise executive stakeholders: Translate complex engineering matters into clear decisions and investment recommendations. What You Bring * Executive experience: 15+ years in engineering, EPC, utilities, power, natural gas, or infrastructure. * Leadership scope: Significant experience leading engineering functions, departments, or large multidisciplinary teams. * Capital-program expertise: Proven oversight of complex projects from planning through operational turnover. * Utility knowledge: Experience with electric, natural gas, generation, transmission, distribution, or related infrastructure. * Technical governance: Strong capabilities in design assurance, engineering standards, risk, quality, and change control. * Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related technical discipline. Preferred Qualifications A master’s degree, MBA, or active Professional Engineer license is preferred. Valuable experience may include transmission, substations, grid modernization, gas systems, generation, large-load interconnections, underground infrastructure, or major reliability programs. What Success May Look Like * First 30 days: Assess the portfolio, organization, technical risks, governance, and stakeholder priorities. * First 60 days: Establish engineering priorities, decision rights, performance measures, and resource strategies. * First 90 days: Improve technical quality, organizational accountability, interface management, and delivery predictability.
