A dynamic, member-service-driven Credit Union with assets approaching $400M, located in the upper Midwest, has an excellent opportunity for a Vice President of Information Technology (VP of IT) to join its family-oriented culture.

The incoming VP of IT will work with the executive team to direct and oversee the strategic planning, development, and management of IT systems and infrastructure within the Credit Union. This role ensures the secure, efficient, and regulatory-compliant operation of technology platforms while driving innovation to support strategic objectives. The VP of IT will bring a collaborative approach to aligning IT strategies with the institution's goals, enhancing cybersecurity measures, and implementing financial technology solutions.

The VP of IT will be a direct report to the President/Chief Executive Officer and serve as a critical leader in crafting a “world-class” IT strategy that aligns with the vision and business goals. This individual will lead the IT team in providing innovative technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and the member experience.  Evaluating emerging financial technologies (FinTech) and artificial intelligence (AI) and assessing the potential impact they will have on the organization, along with vendor relationships, negotiating contracts related to technology and service partners within budgetary constraints, is needed in this role.

A bachelor’s degree, or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a degree, information technology certification in lieu of a degree, plus five to ten years of similar or related experience required.  A highly motivating and influential leadership style will be ideal in leading and partnering with other key leaders within the Credit Union.
