We are seeking a hands-on, technically credible Vice President of IT to lead and personally deliver enterprise AI initiatives. This is not a figurehead role. The successful candidate is equally comfortable setting strategy in the boardroom and rolling up their sleeves to scope, build, and ship solutions. They understand how AI tools and machine learning actually work under the hood, can manage projects end to end without depending on others to translate the technical detail, and can present complex concepts to the C-suite with clarity and confidence.
The VP will partner with business leaders to develop AI business cases, lead implementation directly, and embed generative and machine-learning capabilities into core operations to improve efficiency, automation, and customer experience.
Proven, hands-on experience delivering AI and digital transformation projects end to end with personal accountability for shipping, not only directing.
Genuine technical depth in machine learning and how it works: training, evaluation, LLMs, prompt engineering, and modern AI tooling.
Ability to read and reason about code (e.g., Python) and to engage engineers as a technical peer.
Strong project management capability across scope, schedule, budget, risk, and
stakeholders.
Excellent communication and executive presence, with a track record of presenting to C-suite and board audiences.
Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change across diverse, matrixed teams.
Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms and knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in AI implementations.
Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; or 10+ years experience in information technology.
Preferred (Added Advantage, Not Required)
Experience in healthcare staffing or the broader healthcare services industry is a strong plus but is not a mandatory requirement.
Hands-on experience deploying AI in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments.
