We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts and elevate our brand presence. This executive role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, generate leads, enhance customer engagement, and support sales growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop the annual marketing strategy and operating plan, with priorities, budgets, and measurable objectives aligned with sales goals, community opening schedules, inventory needs, and business plans.
  • Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align marketing initiatives with business goals and revenue targets.
  • Conduct market analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning within the Florida homebuilding industry.

 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and evaluate the Digital Marketing Manager and Field Marketing Manager; establish clear responsibilities, decision authority, performance expectations, and individual development plans.
  • Create an organized, collaborative department through regular planning meetings, clear briefs, shared schedules, timely feedback, and transparent communication.
  • Empower managers to lead their areas of responsibility while resolving competing priorities, removing obstacles, and holding the team accountable for quality, deadlines, and results.
  • Assess staffing, skills, and agency needs; recruit and develop talent and build an effective balance of internal capabilities and outside support.

 

Lead Generation & Sales Alignment

  • Partner with Sales leadership to agree on qualified lead criteria, community traffic goals, lead follow-up expectations, and measures of conversion from inquiry to appointment and sale.
  • Direct integrated demand generation and lead nurturing across digital, traditional, Realtor, and local community channels, with emphasis on lead quality and sales contribution.
  • Review funnel performance with Sales and the Digital Marketing Manager; identify where prospects disengage and drive coordinated improvements in messaging, nurturing, and the buyer journey.
  • Set priorities for marketing automation and CRM improvements in partnership with Sales and IT or Business Systems; oversee implementation through the Digital Marketing Manager and appropriate partners.

 

Digital & Field Marketing Oversight

  • Set objectives, approve plans, and evaluate results for digital marketing; the Digital Marketing Manager leads digital channel strategy and day-to-day execution, optimization, reporting, and platform projects within the approved company plan.
  • Set community marketing priorities and brand standards; the Field Marketing Manager leads local execution, signage programs, events, partnerships, and sales center presentation within approved plans and budgets.
  • Coordinate the two managers around shared campaign briefs, launch calendars, approved assets, and community priorities so online and on-site messaging remain consistent.
  • Oversee community launch readiness with Sales, Design, Construction, and other partners, including websites, collateral, signage, model and sales center presentation, and events.

 

Brand Management & Customer Experience

  • Protect brand standards and creative quality across websites, advertising, sales offices, communities, and marketing materials; ensure each brand communicates a clear and credible reason to buy.
  • Ensure buyer-facing information accurately presents the builder story, floor plans, features, options, site plans, homesite information, and the purchase and closing process.
  • Partner with Sales and customer experience teams on testimonials, referrals, reputation management, and buyer feedback that can improve marketing and the customer journey.
  • Lead public relations and corporate communications supporting the company’s reputation, community involvement, and philanthropy. Coordinate land-use communications with the Public Policy Department and support the founder’s public relations priorities in coordination with the President.

 

Budget & Performance Management

  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget; allocate resources across brands, communities, channels, and agencies based on business priorities and performance.
  • Oversee agency selection, scope, fees, creative direction, and results; establish clear deliverables and service expectations while delegating day-to-day vendor coordination to the appropriate manager.
  • Maintain spending controls and forecasts; evaluate the effectiveness of internal and external resources and recommend changes that improve results and efficiency.
  • Present a concise monthly performance review to the President and executive team covering qualified leads, traffic, appointments, conversion, cost per qualified lead, marketing contribution to sales, budget performance, and recommended actions. Establish targets jointly with Sales and Finance and explain attribution limitations.

 Market Awareness

    • Partner with the Market Intelligence Manager, Sales, and Finance to use market insights to guide positioning, campaign priorities, community launch plans, and recommendations for product and buyer segments.
    • Ensure approved pricing, incentives, options, and homesite premiums are communicated accurately and consistently across marketing channels.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Ten or more years of progressive marketing experience, including at least five years leading teams, budgets, and agency relationships, or an equivalent record of executive-level marketing leadership.
  • Demonstrated success translating marketing investment into qualified demand, improved conversion, and sales growth; ability to explain results and business decisions clearly.
  • Proven ability to develop managers, delegate effectively, set priorities, address performance issues, and lead a collaborative team.
  • Strong command of brand strategy, creative development, digital marketing, paid media, SEO, CRM, marketing automation, and measurement; ability to guide specialists and evaluate agency recommendations.
  • Experience managing substantial marketing budgets, forecasting expenditures, and making disciplined investment decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and strong project management; ability to align executives, Sales leaders, managers, and outside partners.
  • Experience supporting multiple brands or business units and launching new communities or locations.
  • Experience in homebuilding, residential real estate, or another industry with an extended sales cycle preferred.

  • Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, grasping, writing, typing, repetitive motions, hearing ability, visual acuity, and climbing stairs on occasion.
  • The employee frequently uses a computer keyboard, regularly travels (as a vehicle driver and as a passenger on various modes of transportation), and occasionally performs work on-site at construction worksites.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitors frequently.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
