Vice President Of Sales

Position Summary:

The Vice President of Sales & Marketing is responsible for overseeing sales, customer service and art teams ensuring monthly and annual sales goals are met while maintaining the highest standards for customer satisfaction. This requires an understanding of our internal and technical processes, such as material and adhesive selection, art, and various methods of print production.

Essential Functions:

• Provide ongoing supervision and motivation of sales staff including goal setting and monitoring of sales production.
• Monitor pricing and profitability of all customers to meet company objectives and goals.
• Increase/maintain sales and profit volume through direct - sales efforts and by assisting sales personnel.
• Develop and implement marketing plans.
• Identify specific sales strategies and action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define Phenix objectives and goals.
• Develop and maintain written policies and procedures for departmental operations.
• Hire and train sales personnel.
• Keep compensation levels and sales budgets within TLMI levels.
• Work together with Production Manager to provide ROI for new customers and capabilities.
• Work together with Operations Manager to coordinate Art and Customer Service activities with sales team.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Individual must be able to work independently with minimal guidance required. This implies good time management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills.
• Individual must be able to interact effectively with a wide variety of people in a wide variety of settings, possessing strong communication skills, maintaining flexibility, objectivity and a capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Individual must be able to adjust actions in relation to others' actions, persuade others to change their minds or behavior, and actively look for ways to help people and solve problems.
• Individual must be able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Individual must be able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Active involvement in Phenix Label Company's vision statement, five core values, and non-negotiables.
• Previous sales and printing experience preferred.
• Preferred 4 year degree and 10+ year's relevant experience.
• Individual should be familiar with word processing and other basic computer skills.
• English language required.

Physical and Other Requirements:

This job is performed indoors in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. Job tasks are performed in close proximity to other people and, when entering the adjacent manufacturing plant, include exposure to strobe lights, sounds and noise levels that are distracting. The employee is occasionally required to stand, stoop, walk and bend. The employee must frequently sit, talk, listen, and lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Requires use of hands to handle, control or feel objects and operate computer and other office-related equipment.
