Based at the Emerson Global Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, this position will establish the strategies, systems and tools utilizing best practices to build a world-class operation. You will lead the talent and career development within the Operational Excellence team ensuring that current and future leaders can meet the challenges of the business.
AS THE VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE, YOU WILL:
Inspire change in the organization, functioning as a catalyst for the organization to adopt and implement validated and emerging strategies to drive speed, quality, safety and reliability in our global processes.
Serve as the functional leader and subject matter authority for Continuous Improvement in the organization
Benchmark Emerson continuous improvement vs. best practices and new developments across industries
Spearhead industry awareness and adoption, using digital technologies, information flows and intelligence to build a more resilient factory of the future.
Serve as an expert resource to our operating business units needing in-depth knowledge on continuous improvement tools
Drive Operational Excellence best practices, such as daily management, standard work, 5S workplace organization and effective problem solving
Lead supply chain lead time reduction and data analytics usage
Act as an evangelist for Pull Systems and different operational approaches to improve On-Time Delivery and Inventory Turns
Own Emerson#39;s Perfect Execution program at the Corporate level
Perfect Execution is a framework that enables Emerson businesses to engage with customers to better Understand their unique requirements; Craft the right solutions, processes, and technologies to meet customer needs and Plan value chains for speed and flexibility to satisfy customer requests
Recruit and develop talent, particularly in Operations
Lead Talent Acquisition process for the Corporate Perfect Execution team
Develop Analysts and Planners in Operations and general business and leadership skills
Develop and mentor global Operations talent at the business unit level
Own all in person and online training content for continuous improvement and operational excellence
Set direction and drive usage of Strategy Deployment across the organization; assisting internal customers in solving their toughest business challenges

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelorrsquo;s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, or related field of study
Leadership experiencein Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Marketing or Project Management business function
Six Sigma and/or LEAN Certification
Demonstratedexperience with projects involved in global process and value stream mapping
Demonstrated experience applying LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies to implement complex process improvement initiatives
Demonstrated leadership and track record of influencing others toward implementing key tools and strategies while developing competencies in a complex and diverse environment
Strong data analysis and computer skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional presentation skills
The incumbent must be adaptable and allow for a flexible work schedule
- Ability to travel up to 50%+ domestically and internationally once COVID-19 restrictions have expired
