About Our Client: Our client is an advanced manufacturer seeking a Vice President of Operations to join its executive leadership team. This individual will lead manufacturing, supply chain, materials management, and operational strategy while driving productivity, continuous improvement, and long-term business growth.


About the Job: Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President of Operations will oversee all manufacturing operations while developing and executing strategies to improve efficiency, quality, on-time delivery, and overall operational performance. This leader will partner closely with Engineering, Sales, and other cross-functional teams, develop high-performing leaders, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable setting strategic direction and rolling up their sleeves to solve complex operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing, supply chain, purchasing, planning, and materials management.
  • Develop and execute operational, productivity, and CAPEX initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive key performance metrics including on-time delivery, first-pass yield, inventory, and productivity.
  • Partner with Engineering, Sales, and customers to deliver high-quality, manufacturable solutions.
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and operational performance.
  • Establish operational goals, manage budgets, and monitor business performance.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience leading high-mix, low-volume manufacturing operations within aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Strong background in manufacturing operations, supply chain, materials management, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience supporting machining and precision manufacturing environments.
  • Proven ability to build high-performing teams, drive operational improvements, and lead organizational change.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and executive presentation skills.


Compensation: $190,000 - $230,000 base salary + bonus + Long-term incentive


Job Status: Direct Hire. Onsite in the Buffalo, NY area.
