As a rapidly scaling manufacturer of engineered-to-order electrical control and power distribution systems, Maverick Power requires an operations leader who delivers results through discipline, clarity, and strong systems, not heroics. This role owns manufacturing execution, site leadership, production flow, and operating rigor, while reinforcing early issue visibility, accountability, and a bias for informed action.

The Vice President, Operations is expected to lead with trust, urgency, and clarity, creating an environment where proactiveness and predictability are paramount, issues surface early, teams are held accountable, and execution excellence is achieved consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate enterprise objectives into clear, measurable expectations for operations leadership.
  • Build Operations into a scalable, repeatable execution engine capable of supporting high-mix, ETO/CTO manufacturing and rapid growth.
  • Act with urgency while maintaining focus on long-term stability, safety, and sustainability of the operating system.

Manufacturing Execution & Site Leadership

  • Own day-to-day manufacturing execution across all production sites, ensuring adherence to approved plans, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop site leadership through Operations leadership team, establishing consistent standards for execution and accountability.
  • Establish and enforce a common operating cadence that provides visibility into performance, risks, and recovery actions.
  • Create a culture of trust and accountability, where issues are raised early and addressed professionally.
  • Ensure execution performance is achieved through standard work, clarity of ownership, and disciplined escalation, not last-minute heroics.

Production Flow, Throughput & Continuous Improvement

  • Own manufacturing process performance, including throughput, cycle time, yield, labor productivity, and flow stability.
  • Lead Manufacturing Engineering to continuously improve how work flows through the factory, including standard work, line balancing, ergonomics, and automation.
  • Ensure new products, projects, and capacity expansions are supported by stable, repeatable, and scalable production processes timed to support volume ramp.
  • Champion Lean principles, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement as core operating behaviors.
  • Drive rapid stabilization of new lines and production ramps while protecting safety, quality, and inventory discipline.

Leadership, Culture & Organizational Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing, multi-site operations organization with clear roles, expectations, and development paths.

  • Reinforce Maverick Power's core values in daily leadership behaviors:
  • Bring Your Best by setting high standards and owning outcomes
  • Get the Job Done through urgency, discipline, and follow-through
  • Win as a Team by collaborating across sites and functions with mutual respect
  • Deliver "WOW" by exceeding expectations through reliable, high-quality execution
  • Recognize and reward teams for building strong proactive and predictive systems and developing people.

Qualifications:

  • Proven success leadinglarge, multi-site manufacturing organizations, ideally in ETO/CTO or high-mix engineered product settings.
  • Demonstrated experience scaling production capacity, including new facility launches or major expansions.
  • Experience in electrical equipment, power distribution, industrial systems, capital equipment, or closely related industries strongly preferred.
  • Track record of improving on-time delivery, throughput, and operational stability without compromising safety, quality, or inventory integrity.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, production flow, Lean principles, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical capability across operational KPIs, including throughput, labor productivity, yield, and capacity.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production execution environments.
  • Executive presence with the ability to lead through influence, clarity, and accountability.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with complexity and competing priorities.
