Summary


SUMMARY : The Vice President of Resource Transformation is a key leadership role within the Center for Operational Transformation, focused on driving transformational improvements. This position will lead efforts to enhance the efficiency and engagement, including employed and contracted physicians. Reporting directly to the COO, the VP will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align resource strategies with organizational goals, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, fostering a culture of innovation, and improving operational outcomes to support high-quality patient care.


DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.


1. Physician and Staff Optimization:


Oversee programs to enhance and support physician engagement, contract management & compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives. Collaborate with clinical leaders to transform staffing models and monitor and improve productivity while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA, Joint Commission, and labor laws.


2.Strategic Planning and Analytics:


Utilize data-driven insights to assess resource utilization, forecast needs, and measure the impact of transformation efforts. Develop metrics and KPIs to track progress in areas like staff satisfaction, physician retention rates, and operational cost reductions, as examples.


3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:


Partner with the COO, CMO, CFO, and CNO, clinical operations, and other stakeholders to integrate resource transformation into broader operational strategies.


4. Compliance and Risk Management:


Ensure all transformation activities adhere to federal, state, and industry regulations. Mitigate risks related to contract negotiations.


5. Team Leadership:


Collaborate with a high-performing, fast-paced Center for Operational Transformation team, promoting a culture of professional growth and accountability.


6. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:


Identify emerging trends in healthcare resource management, such as AI-driven staffing tools or telehealth integration, and pilot innovative solutions to enhance transformation outcomes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


+ Required Education: Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or a related field required; Doctorate or advanced certification (e.g., SCP, FACHE) preferred.

+ Required Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years in healthcare leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior role focused on medical staff leadership, physician integration, or operational optimization. Proven track record in managing physician relations, and large-scale change initiatives in a healthcare organization. Experience in a multi-site or integrated healthcare system. Background in operational transformation centers or similar advisory roles.

+ Required Licenses/Certifications: Certification in healthcare compliance or project management (e.g., PMP)


The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization. Alameda Health System also offers eligible positions a generous comprehensive benefits program.


Salary Range: $211,197.99-$351,996.65 / yr
