    Vice President - Restructuring Investment Banking

    A leading investment banking and financial advisory platform is seeking a Vice President to join its Restructuring Investment Banking practice. The role offers the opportunity to lead execution across a broad range of complex debtor-side and creditor-side engagements, including restructurings, liability management transactions, distressed M&A, refinancings, and capital raises.

    The team advises companies, lenders, creditors, investors, and other stakeholders in both in-court and out-of-court situations across a variety of industries. This position provides significant client exposure and the opportunity to work on highly visible, complex transactions while managing junior professionals and contributing to business development efforts.

    Key Areas of Focus

    • Advising companies and stakeholders in both out-of-court and Chapter 11 restructurings
    • Raising debt and equity capital
    • Providing distressed M&A advisory services
    • Advising on special situations and distressed investment opportunities
    • Supporting complex stakeholder negotiations and restructuring processes

    Responsibilities

    • Lead execution of debtor-side and creditor-side restructuring engagements, liability management transactions, capital markets activities, and distressed M&A assignments.
    • Analyze historical and projected financial performance and develop insights to support strategic recommendations.
    • Conduct business due diligence and oversee key workstreams throughout transaction execution.
    • Prepare and review confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing materials, and other client deliverables.
    • Perform valuation analyses and assess strategic alternatives.
    • Support the origination, marketing, and planning of new engagements.
    • Serve as the day-to-day lead on transactions, managing deal execution and coordinating teams of Associates and Analysts.
    • Maintain direct communication with clients, investors, lenders, management teams, legal advisors, and other stakeholders.
    • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients and referral sources.
    • Mentor, develop, and supervise junior team members.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
    • Approximately 7-11 years of experience within restructuring advisory, leveraged finance, investment banking, or a related financial advisory environment.
    • Demonstrated transaction execution experience across restructuring, leveraged finance, liability management, special situations, or M&A engagements.
    • Strong experience leading discussions and presentations with senior executives, boards, lenders, creditors, and other stakeholders.
    • Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
    • Strong understanding of credit agreements, debt structures, and liability management transactions.
    • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical, accounting, corporate finance, and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven leadership ability with experience supervising, mentoring, and developing junior professionals.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a demonstrated interest in client development and growing business relationships.
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
