Phoebe Putney Health System is a not-for-profit integrated healthcare delivery system serving more than 500,000 residents in a 41-county region of Southwest Georgia. Job Summary:

The Vice President, Revenue Cycle (VP) is the strategic and operational leader responsible for all aspects of the revenue cycle at Phoebe Putney Health System. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer, this leader will direct, manage, and implement programs to ensure efficient operations of the health system’s Revenue Cycle program and generate sufficient cash flow to support operations and strategic initiatives.

The VP is responsible for identifying, analyzing, reducing, and resolving revenue cycle issues while developing and maintaining effective relationships with administrative, clinical, and physician leadership across the organization. This leader will also promote strong working relationships with external stakeholders, including providers, payers, government entities, and applicable professional associations.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required)

Experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a revenue cycle leader in a complex setting.

  • A strong understanding of finance and accounting – CPA background preferred.

  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to control expenses while building programs that provide revenue growth.
  • Significant experience with identifying and implementing performance improvement through benchmarking and identifying best practices.
  • Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences – especially with revenue cycle matters.
  • Experience with broad application of both financial and clinical information systems. Familiarity with Meditech is highly desirable.
  • Good decision skills are derived from a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
  • Under tight deadlines and pressure, able to make timely decisions and be responsive to others, even with sometimes incomplete information.
  • Demonstrated mentoring, coaching and team building skills. A Servant Leader.
