    Description

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
    • 15+ years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain leadership.
    • Executive leadership experience within the commercial food manufacturing industry is required.
    • Commercial baking industry experience is highly preferred.
    • Proven experience managing procurement across large, complex manufacturing organizations.
    • Experience leading procurement functions supporting 30+ manufacturing facilities or organizations of similar scale.
    • Demonstrated success managing procurement spend exceeding $500 million.
    • Strong experience leading multi-level procurement organizations and developing high-performing teams.
    • Proven ability to partner and collaborate with executive leadership.
    • Experience in food manufacturing, ingredient manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries is preferred.
    • Strong background in agricultural supply chains and multi-site manufacturing environments.
    • Experience in enterprise procurement, commodity procurement, and supply chain transformation initiatives.
    • Proven experience sourcing and managing key commodities, including flour, wheat, grains, dairy, cocoa, and other agricultural ingredients.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute enterprise procurement strategies that support business growth, profitability, supply continuity, and shareholder value.
    • Build and lead a world-class procurement organization aligned with the company's long-term business objectives.
    • Drive procurement modernization initiatives across North America.
    • Establish procurement as a strategic business partner across the enterprise.
    • Lead procurement across major spend categories, including ingredients, packaging, contract manufacturing, MRO, and logistics.
    • Oversee procurement for capital equipment, facilities, information technology, corporate services, and indirect procurement.
    • Develop and implement category strategies that improve supplier performance, reduce costs, and create long-term competitive advantage.
    • Develop and execute commodity sourcing strategies for key agricultural inputs, including grains, flour, wheat, dairy, cocoa, sweeteners, edible oils, and other commodity-based ingredients.
    • Manage commodity price volatility while protecting business margins and ensuring supply continuity.
    • Lead enterprise procurement transformation initiatives through the adoption of artificial intelligence, procurement analytics, digital procurement platforms, and process automation.
    • Drive data-driven decision-making and strengthen strategic category management across the organization.
    • Enhance supplier performance analytics to improve procurement efficiency and support continuous improvement.
    • Drive continuous improvement by building scalable procurement capabilities and modernizing procurement processes.
    • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to enhance innovation, quality, resilience, and long-term value.
    • Strengthen supplier performance management and identify opportunities for collaboration and continuous improvement.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement organization by coaching emerging leaders, building organizational capability, and developing succession plans.
    • Drive accountability and performance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and supporting professional growth across the procurement function.
