A Vice President of Surgical Services opportunity is available in Salem, VA at a 500+ bed acute care hospital that holds a Level II Trauma designation and specializes in heart and vascular care, orthopedics and spine care, and cancer care. The surgical program includes 11 main operating rooms, 2 CVOR suites, 3 endoscopy suites, 3 da Vinci robotic systems, and 2 Mako robotic systems, supporting approximately 600–700 cases per month across a broad spectrum of specialties including general, GYN, neuro, spine, cardiovascular, bariatric, orthopedics, surgical oncology, urology, and ENT.

The VP also partners with physicians and the administrative team to evaluate, expand, and develop new service lines and growth opportunities. Talent development is a central expectation: this leader builds and sustains a high-performing team through coaching, engagement strategies, and deliberate succession and recruitment efforts.
