POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice Principal provides high-level instructional leadership and administrative support to the Elementary School Principal to promote the educational development of all students and staff. This role is responsible for leading, directing, and supervising a variety of personnel and programs while fostering a collaborative environment between teachers, students, and families. Key responsibilities include managing daily school operations, mentoring and evaluating staff, and actively participating in the district's Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) initiatives. The Vice Principal upholds the district's Code of Character Conduct and Support and serves as the chief administrator in the Principal's absence. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Framingham Public Schools seeks candidates whose background, teaching, or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and belonging in all aspects of education.
Educational Requirement: A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in the area of major study or a related field.
Professional Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience in a diverse learning environment.
Leadership Experience: At least three (3) years of demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity, such as teacher leadership, leading professional learning opportunities, or active involvement in school/district visioning and strategic improvement planning.
Language Proficiency: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is strongly preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, evaluate, implement, and monitor instructional programs to ensure alignment with district standards and high expectations for achievement.
Lead the revision, implementation, and continuous evaluation of curriculum.
Participate actively in school-wide and district-wide committees focused on advancing educational programming and student outcomes.
Monitor and engage with students and families regarding academic progress, social-emotional development, and behavioral needs.
Develop, administer, and enforce student conduct policies; support instructional staff in resolving complex or serious disciplinary issues.
Participate in the team evaluation process for student support services and interventions.
Coordinate student activities, special programs, field trips, and school-wide events.
Supervise, direct, and conduct formal and informal evaluations of instructional and support staff.
Plan, coordinate, and lead meaningful staff development opportunities and training sessions.
Partner with staff to address and resolve instructional, operational, and organizational challenges.
Develop and manage schedules for ancillary staff and itinerant personnel serving the school.
Oversee the accurate preparation and submission of administrative reports, records, and regulatory documentation.
Interpret and consistently enforce district policies, school guidelines, and administrative regulations.
Oversee the development, implementation, and administration of the school safety and emergency response plan.
Assist in organizing and executing state- and district-mandated testing programs.
Serve as the chief administrator and represent the principal in their absence.
Other duties as assigned.

Work Year: 200 days (Ten-Months)
