Testronic is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance Technician to join our growing QA team. In this role, you will be an integral part of the product lifecycle, responsible for identifying defects, verifying functionality, and ensuring that our software and game products meet the highest quality standards before release. Key Responsibilities

Execute assigned QA test plans, test cases, and test scripts in accordance with project schedules and established QA methodologies.

Identify, document, and track software defects, inconsistencies, and regressions using industry-standard bug-tracking platforms (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla).

Perform exploratory, functional, regression, and performance testing across multiple platforms and devices.

Participate in beta testing cycles and provide structured, actionable feedback to development teams.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of test results, defect logs, and QA data within project management dashboards.

Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, producers, and fellow QA Technicians to communicate findings and facilitate timely resolution of issues.

Apply root cause analysis techniques to identify systemic quality issues and recommend process improvements.

Support risk assessment and management efforts to ensure QA work remains on schedule and within scope.

Provide backup support to fellow QA Technicians and assume higher-level responsibilities as project needs require.

Adhere to all internal QA processes, workflows, and quality standards to uphold the integrity of testing operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

Demonstrated proficiency with computers, operating systems, and consumer hardware (PC, consoles, mobile devices).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical findings.

Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Broad familiarity with various video game genres and platforms.

 

Preferred:

Prior experience in QA testing, software testing, or a related technical field.

Familiarity with project management and bug-tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.

Knowledge of QA methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, or DevOps frameworks.

Experience with game development pipelines or participation in beta testing programs.

ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or equivalent certification is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position is primarily performed in an office or remote setting. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting and screen usage. Employees may be required to operate gaming consoles, peripherals, and various computing hardware. Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

This position has been designated as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
