Description

About Us

Rho is the modern banking platform built for startups. Open accounts in minutes, issue cards, manage expenses, pay bills, and close the books – all in one connected platform backed by real human support.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Video Intern to produce, edit, and publish video across Rho’s channels: podcasts, YouTube, and short-form content for social. You’ll work directly with the VP of Marketing, our Growth Marketing Lead, and the brand team, with a hand in every stage of production, from filming to editing to publishing.

Volume matters here. You’ll shoot constantly and ship on a fast cadence, building real reps across formats. The right person obsesses over content performance: watching what works, understanding why, and making the next piece better.

Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form video from podcast recordings, event footage, and shoots: cuts, captions, hooks, thumbnails, and packaging optimized per platform.

  • Assist on shoots: setup, camera operation, b-roll capture, and lighting for in-office and on-location filming.

  • Publish content to X, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram on a consistent schedule, following our publishing calendar.

  • Turn edits around fast. Same-day and next-day cuts are the norm, especially around events and launches.

  • Send every video for review before it goes live and communicate proactively on status, blockers, and timelines.

  • Track basic performance metrics (impressions, watch time, engagement) and flag what's working.

  • Stay on top of platform trends, formats, and hooks, and bring ideas to the table.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated video editing ability: a portfolio, personal account, or reel that shows you can cut for short-form social. Student projects count if they're good.

  • Proficiency in a professional editing tool (Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut, DaVinci - your pick, as long as you're fast in it).

  • Fluency in how content works on X, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram: what stops the scroll and why.

  • Comfort with camera and audio basics, or eagerness to learn them quickly on set.

  • Detail-oriented: you catch typos, misspoken words, and off-brand moments before anything ships.

  • Responsive communicator who thrives on feedback and fast iteration.

  • Interest in startups, tech, and business content is a big plus.

Details

  • Location: NYC office (in-person)

  • Duration: 3-6 months, with potential to extend or convert to full-time based on performance

  • Compensation: $20-25/hour
