Job Description

Position Summary

Video Producers are creative strategists and trusted partners who work collaboratively with the CSU Learning Design Team to build exceptional online educational experiences for students in both credit and non-credit programs. Operating at the intersection of storytelling and pedagogy, this full-time position supports the production and curation of instructional video while working closely with instructional designers as they partner with faculty to develop online, hybrid, and residential courses. Their work is grounded in collaboration, driven by learner-centered design, and fueled by an in-depth understanding of producing informational and educational videos that make learning relevant, accessible, and responsive.

At every stage of the learning lifecycle, Video Producers are active designers and problem-solvers who balance creative energy with structured production planning. They surface content needs through consultation and research, co-create video experiences that align with learner goals and CSU priorities, and organize the people, platforms, and processes needed for seamless delivery across multiple modalities. Video Producers are expected to become familiar with systems that support online course delivery, leading through influence and technical expertise to ensure productions run smoothly while adapting to real-time feedback and evolving educational technologies. Their impact extends beyond individual deliverables to strengthening CSU's broader digital presence, championing visual storytelling that connects learners across disciplines, regions, and delivery formats while building sustainable video production pathways that reflect the university's commitment to innovation and accessibility.
