SUMMARY:

Real Salt Lake and Utah Royals FC are looking for highly motivated individuals interested in being a part of the Pro Soccer teams in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ideal candidates will demonstrate initiative, the ability to multitask, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude. This internship requires a minimum commitment of working every home game at America First Field. In-office hours are also required throughout the work week to capture content and editing. Please note that the RSL and Utah Royals seasons may run through November or early December. 

Applicants must submit a portfolio of work to be considered. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Works directly with our Creative Director and Multimedia Producers to create content for Real Salt Lake, Utah Royals, Real Monarchs, Real Salt Lake Academy, and RSL Community social platforms.
• Captures usable video content from RSL, Utah Royals, Real Monarchs, and RSL Academy training sessions.
• Captures video content during RSL, Utah Royals, Real Monarchs, and RSL Academy matches.
• Performs video editing, from interview segments, highlight reels, paid social media, social media, sponsorship content, in-game content, and community content.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Passion for sports content creation, storytelling, and digital media.
• Strong desire to learn and develop video production, editing, and content creation skills in a professional sports environment.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro and Photoshop, or a willingness to quickly learn these programs.
• Basic understanding of DSLR, mirrorless, or professional video camera equipment.
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and eager to take initiative while working both independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to meet deadlines and produce high-quality content under time-sensitive conditions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, all home matches, and required in-office content capture and editing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing a degree in Film, Video Production, Digital Media, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Previous experience creating video content through coursework, personal projects, internships, freelance work, athletics, or social media.
• Basic knowledge of soccer and an interest in professional sports.
• Portfolio demonstrating video shooting, editing, and creative storytelling abilities. P

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 25 pounds or exerting heavy force, in a wide disparity or environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, etc.
