Village Market Line Cook

This is a guest facing position; $18-$20 per hour

POSITION PURPOSE:

• * The Village Market Line Cook is responsible for preparing made-to-order sandwiches, bagels, and other menu items while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment. This role ensures food quality, cleanliness, food safety compliance, and an inviting experience for customers

  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• * Prepare sandwiches, Bagels, pizza, and other menu items according to customer specifications and established recipes.
• * Take customer orders and answer questions about menu items and ingredients.
• * Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards for all food products.
• * Stock and replenish ingredients, packaging, and supplies throughout the day.
• * Monitor freshness and rotate products using first-in, first-out procedures.
• * Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary food preparation area.
• * Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• * Assist with receiving deliveries and putting away inventory.
• * Help with opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and preparing workstations.
• * Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.

  QUALIFICATIONS:

• * Previous food service, deli, café, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• * Strong attention to detail and food quality.
• * Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• * Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and food safety guidelines.
• * Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• * Ability to stand for extended periods.
• * Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• * Weekday, evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required.
