Virtual Behavioral Health Specialist

GoTo Telemed is seeking independently licensed mental health professionals (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or PsyD/PhD) to join our integrated digital health network as Virtual Behavioral Health Specialists. In this 100% remote clinical role, you will provide evidence-based psychotherapy, crisis triage, and psychoeducation to patients via our secure, proprietary telehealth platform.

Unlike fragmented therapy apps, GoTo Telemed operates a whole-person care model. You will work within an integrated clinical ecosystem, collaborating directly with our primary care physicians, virtual dentists, and holistic wellness navigators. We manage the administrative overhead—including marketing, billing, and scheduling—allowing you to focus entirely on delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive initial psychiatric evaluations and biopsychosocial assessments via synchronous video (CPT 90791) to accurately diagnose behavioral health conditions.
• Evidence-Based Treatment: Deliver individualized, evidence-based psychotherapy (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT) for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and life-transition stressors (CPT 90834 / 90837).
• Treatment Planning: Develop, implement, and periodically review collaborative treatment plans tailored to the patient's unique clinical needs and personal wellness goals.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Identify cases requiring pharmacological intervention and seamlessly refer patients to GoTo Telemed's internal psychiatric prescribing providers (MD, DO, PMHNP) or primary care team.
• Crisis Triage: Assess for risk (suicidality, self-harm, or harm to others) and implement appropriate digital de-escalation protocols and community referrals.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, concurrent clinical progress notes in the GoTo Telemed cloud EHR within 24 hours of the patient encounter, adhering to all HIPAA and state regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Active, unencumbered independent clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, PsyD, PhD) in at least one U.S. state. (Note: Associate-level or provisionally licensed clinicians requiring supervision are not eligible for this role). Candidates with multi-state licensure are strongly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of post-licensure clinical experience. Prior experience delivering telehealth or virtual care is highly advantageous.
• Digital Fluency: Strong proficiency navigating cloud-based Electronic Health Records (EHR) and secure video conferencing software.
• Workspace: A dedicated, private, and acoustically sound home office space equipped with high-speed internet, a high-definition webcam, and a noise-canceling headset to guarantee HIPAA-compliant privacy.
