Description

The THRIVE Learning Collaborative is an established virtual learning program. We are currently seeking a Coordinator to support our students and families who choose to attend school in a virtual format.

Duties and Responsibilities

Program Leadership: Set, communicate, and maintain a clear vision and strategic direction for the virtual learning cooperative.

Operational Coordination: Coordinate the day-to-day operations of distance learning programs, manage curriculum delivery, and schedule courses.

Systems & Procedures: Maintain, evaluate, and refine administrative systems, operational procedures, and communication strategies across the cooperative to support the ongoing mission of THRIVE.

Enrollment Management: Oversee student recruitment, admissions pipelines, and onboarding processes for participating districts.

Personnel Management: Interview, select, and evaluate highly qualified certified instructional staff to deliver robust virtual instruction.

Evidence-Based Practices: Research and implement evidence-based approaches to distance learning, ensuring instructional practices continuously match the evolving needs of the student body.

Professional Development: Design, facilitate, and oversee ongoing training programs and professional support frameworks for distance learning facilitators and teachers.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate professionally and collaborate regularly with educational vendors, site administrators, instructional staff, and parents regarding THRIVE needs and student progress.

Records & Compliance: Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential student records and instructional documentation in accordance with state law, federal regulations, and district policies.

Other Duties: Perform other related administrative duties as assigned by school leadership.

Recruitment: Continue to expand the virtual learning collaborative by working with other interested school districts, boards of education, and superintendents to recruit, maintain and enhance the program.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year educational institution.

Master's degree in school administration or like field, with at least three years of experience (preferred).

Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate.

Proven experience delivering distance learning experiences or managing instructional technology integration within a K-12 environment.

Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check in accordance with Oklahoma state law and district policy.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience providing virtual instruction as a classroom teacher and/or managing virtual instruction programming.

Documented experience in the supervision, training, and professional development of teachers.

Vendor & Curriculum Management: Experience evaluation, negotiating, and managing contracts with digital curriculum providers, learning management systems (LMS), and educational technology vendors.

Community & Public Relations: Strong background in community outreach, marketing virtual programs, and presenting program outcomes or data directly to school boards and stakeholders.

Policy & Regulatory Expertise: Deep understanding of Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) regulations regarding virtual education, attendance tracking for distance learners, and virtual policy compliance.

Position Details

Classification: Certified Administrative Staff

Status: Full-time, Exempt

Compensation: Pay determined by district salary schedules, scale guidelines, and applicable administrative experience.

Reports To: Superintendent or Administrative Designee
