Job Summary

Social Studies Virtual Teacher for grades 6 to 12 The Virtual Social Studies Teacher (Grades 6-12) delivers high-quality, standards-based instruction in an online learning environment for middle and high school students. Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student learning, communicating with students and families, and supporting student success while maintaining compliance with California educational standards. Required Qualifications: Valid California Single Subject Social Science Credential Ability to provide virtual instruction to students in grades 6-12 Must reside in California Preferred Qualifications: Additional California Single Subject Credential in another subject area (e.g., English, Math, Science, etc.) Experience providing virtual instruction Residence within reasonable driving distance of JCS locations in Riverside County or San Diego County, as occasional travel to school sites may be required Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will hold a California Single Subject Social Science Credential and possess an additional Single Subject Credential in another content area, providing flexibility to support student and program needs. Please note: The salary schedule shown reflects a 100% full-time position. Compensation for this 50% FTE position will be prorated accordingly.

Requires a Valid California Single Subject Social Science Credential (see credential information for specific credentials that are acceptable). If you do not currently hold an appropriate California credential at the time of your application, your application will not be considered. Required Qualifications: Valid California Single Subject Social Science Credential Additional California Single Subject Credential in another subject area (e.g., English, Math, Science, etc.)

In addition to a resume and letter of introduction, we require three letters of recommendation, a current negative TB test, current CPR certification, and copies of all college transcripts to be uploaded at the time of application. Applications received without all required documents will not be considered. Please see details for each document type for more information.
