Introduction
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Virtualization Operations Engineer. This role involves executing end-to-end VM migrations and setting up and operating the NetApp Shift Toolkit.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with VM migrations from vSphere (ESXi/vCenter) to Hyper-V using Veeam Instant VM Recovery (IVMR) and the NetApp Shift Toolkit
- Proficiency in using Veeam Backup & Replication for migrations
- Knowledge of network and IP mapping, and executing final cutovers with limited downtime
- Experience in setting up and operating the NetApp Shift Toolkit on ONTAP storage, including SMB 3.0 and NFS shares
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SMB Constrained Delegation
- Familiarity with export policies and large-scale disk conversion workflows
- Additional certifications in virtualization technologies
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Execute VM migrations using Veeam Instant VM Recovery and the NetApp Shift Toolkit
- Support migration processes, including backup and replica jobs
- Operate and maintain the NetApp Shift Toolkit on ONTAP storage
