Requirements / Qualifications
EdJoin application, current resume. Experience: Any combination equivalent to training and experience that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be: 1) two years of experience performing dictation or responsible clerical duties requiring note-taking or data entry, 2) two years' experience supporting hearing or visually impaired students in an educational environment. Experience working with visually or hearing-impaired adults or students is preferred, but not required. Ability to pass a typing test at 65 words per minute is required. Education: Any combination equivalent to training and experience that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be: • An Associate's Degree or higher or 48 college units and a high school diploma OR • Passing of CBEST and a high school diploma OR • Two years experience supporting a visually or hearing-impaired teacher in a public education environment. License / Certifications: 65 words per minute typing certificate.
Per contract agreement, current WCCUSD employees will be considered first for vacant positions.
