The Wright State University Department of Kinesiology and Health (KNH) invites applications for a one year visiting assistant professor position to begin in Fall 2026. The visiting assistant professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses and contributing to the department's academic community.
This position is for a one-year term, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and departmental needs. We seek a person with a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Academic responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate classes in Health and Exercise Science. Although the candidate will have no research requirements during this appointment, collaboration with current faculty is possible.
Minimum Qualifications
Earned graduate degree in Health Sciences, Exercise Science, or a related field by start date.
Previous university teaching experience or equivalent.
Candidate must demonstrate evidence of collaborative involvement in professional service, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with others.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience creating community partnerships, field experience supervision, and technological literacy with a commitment to integrating technology in teaching.
