SUMMARY:
The Department of Literature and Languages at East Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, temporary, non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2026. The appointment is for one academic year and may be renewed for an additional year based on program needs and performance.
This position will support the PhD program (Rhetoric and Composition emphasis) and the undergraduate Writing Program. The department includes doctoral, master's, and undergraduate programs in English, Hispanic Studies, and Applied Linguistics.
The department anticipates conducting a search for a tenure-track English faculty position during the following academic year. The candidate appointed to this visiting position is welcome to apply should a search be authorized and conducted.
