The Department of Chemistry and Physics in the Cook-Cole College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a full-time, non-tenure-track position (F0024) at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning in August 2026. The position is a one-year, non-renewable appointment.
Primary teaching responsibilities include general chemistry (for science majors or non-majors) and general education chemistry courses. A Ph.D. in chemistry is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a proven record of high-quality teaching experience. A strong commitment to excellence and innovation in undergraduate teaching is required.
This position is located in Farmville, Virginia, and is required to work in person on Longwood University"s campus.
