    Job Summary/Basic Functions

    The College of Business at Eastern Kentucky University, an AACSB International accredited school, invites applications for an Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance and Economics beginning August 2026. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in Finance, Economics, are a closely related field (Ph.D. or D.B.A.) (verified by official transcripts) from an AACSB International accredited institution. The position begins August 2026.

    The position serves the Finance and Economics courses in the undergraduate business core and potentially in the MBA program. It requires excellence in and a commitment to teaching. In addition to face-to-face instruction, some online teaching will be helpful. The successful candidate will maintain a workload consistent with the needs and priorities of the college and the institution. Courses may include, but are not limited to, banking, financial planning, financial literacy, financial technology, macroeconomics, microeconomics, personal finance, and other related fields. The successful candidate will teach in-person courses, although some semesters may include online classes.

    The University places a high priority on being leaders in the responsible use of artificial intelligence and in building such capacity in our students. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of artificial intelligence pertinent to the discipline and/or a willingness to pursue professional development to acquire such expertise.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education: Earned doctoral degree in Finance, Economics, or a closely related field (Ph.D. or D.B.A.) (verified by official transcripts) from an AACSB International accredited institution.
