Duties & Responsibilities
- Strategic Direction and Leadership of Program Delivery
- Oversee the development of high-quality learning experiences for effective delivery of programming that achieves required grant outcomes.
- Develop the strategic direction and lead statewide program delivery cohesion for the grant team members.
- Ensure program implementation meets grant goals and aligns with strategic plans within the overall Extension.
- Oversee and implement civil rights compliance standards to meet federal program regulations.
- Oversee and develop program quality processes to ensure program integrity standards and grant compliance.
- Serve as the liaison to state agencies and funders to ensure management evaluation standards for program implementation are being met.
- Organize and supervise staff workgroups pertaining to training and program implementation.
- Collaborate on research efforts related to grant deliverables.
- Organizational Leadership • Manage operational budgets to ensure spending is in line with grant deliverables. • Develop and oversee vendor contracts pertaining to grant and special initiative needs. • Actively participate as a member of the grant leadership team. • Serve as direct supervisor for grant staff and student hourly employees. • Provide training and collaborate with team members to ensure best practices in adult education and facilitative teaching are central to programming efforts. • Collaborate with Center leadership to align competencies with staff training and program implementation that achieve grant objectives. • Establish professional relationships and participate in campus-based partnerships that connect academic programs and research to complement Extension programming. • Serve on state or national boards and workgroups to enhance partnerships and collaborations.
Other • Assist with gathering program participant demographic information to ensure compliance with civil rights reporting requirements. • Comply with all reporting deadlines and requirements (e.g., plans-of-work, activity, and impact reporting, etc.). • Perform other duties that contribute to the mission of University of Illinois Extension programming, as assigned. • Local, regional, statewide, and (limited) interstate travel required.
