Visiting Student - CSE - Asamoah, Tracy - 8.20.26

The student will work on sodium-ion batteries.  In particular, synthesis, characterization and electrochemical testing will be conducted.  Papers and publications and presentations are required to be completed with this appointment.

Education and Experience Requirements

• The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
• Applicants must be:
o Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution.
o Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months; or
o Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.

The required knowledge is understanding of chemistry and materials science. Skills required are conducting SEM, XRD, and Raman spectroscopy on existing instrumentation.  Experience involves some synthesis and electrochemical evaluation of sodium-ion CAMs is necessary.
