    Job Description

    Avi Gargye will conduct experiments with battery materials, while also maintaining existing laboratory equipment. Prototype batteries will be built and evaluated with new and existing tools, and the resulting data will be presented at group meetings and scientific conferences. Resources at Argonne User Facilities, including the Center for Nanoscale Materials and Advanced Photon Source, may be used during the course of this appointment. Manuscripts in the form of progress reports, and for submission to peer-reviewed journals, will be prepared. All activities will be executed in compliance with ES&H policies, safeguards and security policies, work rules, and safety practices established by Argonne National Laboratory. 

    Education and Experience Requirements

    Good skills in planning and implementing electrochemical experiments. Good skills in the use and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Good skills in written and oral communication. The level of scientific knowledge and sophistication required is normally associated with a B.S. in materials engineering, or related engineering or scientific discipline
