The new student will investigate selective interface reactions via atomic layer deposition-like experiments in my commercial and custom vacuum tools. The student will perform in situ characterization of the deposition process as well as ex situ characterization of the resulting interfaces including but not limited to spectroscopic ellipsometry, infrared spectroscopy, and calorimetry.

Education and Experience Requirements

The student will require at least an undergraduate physical sciences education and benefit from skills and experience in materials science and chemistry laboratories.

• The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.

• Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.

• Applicants must be:

o Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited institution.

o Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months; or

o Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
