We invite you to apply for a Visiting Student position with Argonne’s Electrochemical Materials and Interfaces Group. The purpose of this appointment is experimental studies to measure the reactivity of cathode materials at the interface with solid state electrolytes and to correlate interfacial chemistry with electrochemical response for all-solid-state batteries. This position will involve X-ray spectroscopic characterization and electrochemical analysis of model solid electrolyte/cathode interfaces.
Education and Experience Requirements
Experience with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy is required
Experience with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy is required
Experience with electrochemical testing and data analysis is required
Experience with operating ultrahigh vacuum equipment is required
• The entirety of the appointment must be conducted within the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
• Applicants must be:
o Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited
institution.
o Graduated from an accredited institution within the past 3 months; or
o Actively enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
