2026 UH Summer Internship with ESRA and Argonne National Laboratory.
Project on hydrogen spillover at Au/TiO interfaces. Developing code to solve a one-dimensional diffusion problem in which kinetic models are incorporated as boundary conditions. This model simulates hydrogen formed at interface sites between Au and TiO, followed by diffusion of hydrogen species onto the TiO support. The model can describe both adsorption behavior and temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) virtual experiments. The desorption simulations are particularly interesting because they reveal signatures of both kinetic and diffusion-limited regimes, making the model useful not only as a computational exercise but also as a tool for interpreting real experimental observables.
