    Duties

    The Computer Science and Digital Media teaching associate will be responsible for teaching four courses in the Computer Science and Digital Media Department and contributing to the fulfillment of the Uni High mission through the completion of an individual Lab Mission.

    Primary Duties of the Position Are

    Teach assigned courses in Computer Science and Digital Media including Computer Literacy Yearbook and/or Electronics and Topics in Computer Science and demonstrate innovative curriculum instruction and assessment.

    Maintain records of individual student achievement and evaluate students on a daily basis.

    Support Uni Highs shared vision and goals regarding Computer Science and Digital Media

    Complete a laboratory mission of innovative curriculum development outreach to other schools and the community and/or involvement with professional organizations.

    Qualifications

    Required

    A bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Science or a STEM Education related field.

    Preferred

    Professional Educators License PEL Masters degree in Computer Science Information Science or a STEM Education related field. 3 to 5 years of experience in a middle secondary or post-secondary school setting. Experience successfully teaching diverse groups of students. Ability and willingness to assist with co- and extracurricular activities. Experience creating a learning environment responsive to student needs.

    Additional Notes

    This is a one-year visiting teacher position with the potential for renewal as a permanent placement.
