The VISTA Leader will help build sustainable systems that improve the member experience by developing onboarding resources, communication tools, professional development materials, peer support guides, resource libraries, and feedback processes. The Leader will also document best practices, create sustainability materials, and recommend improvements that staff can continue implementing after the service year concludes. Throughout the service year, the VISTA will: Assess current onboarding, communication, and member support practices to identify opportunities for long-term improvement. Develop and update onboarding guides, orientation materials, and resource libraries for incoming VISTA members and Summer Associates. Creating peer mentoring resources, cohort communication templates, and best-practice guides that strengthen collaboration across service sites. Designing professional development calendars, reflection tools, meeting agendas, and discussion guides to support member learning throughout the service year. Developing systems for collecting member feedback and documenting common questions, challenges, and recommendations to inform future program improvements. Creating sustainability documentation, standard operating procedures, and transition materials so future staff and VISTA Leaders can maintain and improve cohort support systems. Collaborating with program staff to document effective practices and recommend improvements that strengthen the overall VISTA program infrastructure. Member Duties : The VISTA Leader will strengthen The Sanneh Foundation''s AmeriCorps VISTA and Summer Associate programs by developing sustainable systems, tools, and resources that enhance member recruitment and application process, engagement, peer support, and program consistency. The VISTA Leader will assess current cohort support practices, identify opportunities for improvement, propose mentorship and professional development opportunities and coordinate VISTA training events while documenting processes and proposing or updating resources that staff and future members can continue using after the Leader''s service year. By strengthening the infrastructure that supports VISTA and Summer Associate members, this project will help improve member engagement, increase consistency across the cohort, enhance knowledge transfer between service years, gather updates and stories from alumni VISTAs and build long-term organizational capacity to better serve low-income youth and families.
