Curriculum Development: Contribute to developing and implementing the art curriculum, aligning with state and district guidelines. Classroom Management: Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity and fosters a love of art. Assessment: Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to support their development as artists. Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to integrate art into other subject areas and support school-wide initiatives. Supplies and Resources: Manage art supplies, including purchasing, organizing, and maintaining them. Professional Development: Stay current on best practices in art education by participating in professional development activities. Parent Communication: Communicate with parents about student progress and art projects. Special Education: Possess knowledge and sensitivity to effectively include students with special needs. Safety: Ensure a safe and organized art classroom environment. Essential Skills: Art Education Expertise: Thorough knowledge of art history, art techniques, and art education principles. At least 2 years of solid teaching experience with the elementary population.
