Visual Inspection Engineer

Pay Rate:$60/hr- $67/hr on W2

Must Haves
7+ years of experience working with automated vision inspection systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience tuning and optimizing camera-based inspection equipment
Experience with Seidenader, CoBER/CorBER, SVI, or similar automated vision systems
Strong background supporting process validation, qualification, and GMP-regulated manufacturing operations
Experience creating and executing lifecycle documentation (SLC) and engineering documentation
Ability to troubleshoot vision systems and reduce false positives/reject rates on automated inspection equipment
Strong communication skills and ability to operate independently

Principal or Staff-level engineering expertise
Ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience supporting new equipment start-ups and qualification activities
Science or Engineering degree Background in project engineering within pharmaceutical manufacturing

Day to Day
Client is seeking a Vision Systems Engineer to sit onsite 5x/week to support one of our largest pharmaceutical clients onsite in Rensselaer, NY. This individual will be responsible for optimizing and tuning automated vision inspection equipment used in manufacturing operations, with a heavy focus on camera tuning and inspection system performance. This individual will be expected to have strong expertise with automated inspection platforms such as Seidenader, CoBER/CorBER, SVI, or similar technologies and will be responsible for improving inspection accuracy, reducing false positives, and ensuring equipment is properly configured across all defect types. This engineer will also support process validation, qualification activities, lifecycle documentation, and general project engineering efforts related to newly installed manufacturing equipment, specifically across 2 new process lines in different phases of the commissioning process. This individual must have proven vision systems expertise over traditional project engineering backgrounds and the ability to operate autonomously, communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, and make an immediate impact within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment.
