Visual Inspector - Lapping/Polishing Machine Operator (2nd Shift)

Johanson Technology Inc. (JTI) is looking for a Visual Inspector (Thin Film Operator II – Lapping Machine Operator) will be responsible for visual inspection capacitors, substrates, and custom parts. Hourly Rate (Non-Exempt): $19.00 - $19.75/per hour (DOE) + $.75 Shift DifferentialWork Schedule (Monday-Friday): 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.,Training Schedule: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (up to 4 weeks)  Company Offer Benefits (available for JTI Employees:· Medical (HMO/PPO/HSA)· Dental (HMO/PPO)· Vision· Company Paid Basic Life Insurance· Supplemental Life Insurance· Paid time off (i.e. Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and Bereavement)· 401k Savings plus company match· Tuition Assistance EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS· High school diploma or GED· At least six (6) months of microscope experience· Experience in a manufacturing/production environment· Basic computer skills· Basic math skills· Good verbal and written communication skills PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE· Previous experience as a visual inspector· Experience using tweezer to inspect minuscule parts ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.· Machine Lapping and Polishing.· Data entry using Microsoft Excel.· Micrometer and drop gauge usage.· Will handle and transport various materials such as alumina oxide/polishing powders, solvents, wax adhesives.· Maintain 100% measurement accuracy while performing thickness verification.· Visual inspection of parts one by one under a microscope to remove defective parts that do not meet specified criteria.· Packing products using microscope, tweezers, and gloves.  PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDSThe physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.· Use of microscope for visual inspection up to 80% of shift.· Standing/Walking up to 70% of shift; sitting up to 30%· Twisting of neck and waist up to 40% shift· Stoop and bend, reaching above shoulder, and simple hand grasping up to 50% of shift.· Fine hand manipulation up to 50% of shift· Lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 lbs. for 50% of shift· Will occasionally work in fast paced environment and demonstrate adaptability· Must understand and follow a set of clear verbal and/or written procedures without deviation.· Must adhere to a provided work schedule to meet a set of qualitative production standards.· Interact with co-workers to complete tasks.· Perform assigned tasks.· Ability to act with integrity and professionalismIf you are interested in the Thin Film Operator - Lapping opportunity, please submit your resume https://www.johansontechnology.com/careers/search-jobs/.
