Visual Presentation Associate, Furniture

Who We Are:

The Wayfair Visual Merchandising team is a multi-talented group of strategic and innovative thinkers across many disciplines, partnering closely with cross functional teammates to catapult Wayfair to be the leading destination for all things home by developing engaging advertising campaigns, next-in-class consumer experiences, and scalable brand systems.

About the Job:

Wayfair is seeking an experienced Visual Presentation Associate to join our team. The Visual Presentation Associate will work closely with Visual Leaders overseeing Wayfair Physical Retail to support and implement visual merchandising initiatives.  These initiatives will include seasonal merchandise changes, creative installs, signage and marketing rollouts and more. In addition, this role will own the content execution and maintenance of our furniture presentation playbook tools.

As Physical Retail is a new and growing team at Wayfair, the Visual Presentation Associate will need to collaborate with many partner teams, continuing to optimize processes as we grow and scale. It will require flexibility and a scrappy, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality to succeed. This role will focus primarily on supporting Wayfair’s physical retail furniture presentation and its expanding store fleet, but will also support AllModern, Joss & Main, Birch Lane and Perigold store concepts when necessary.

  • Support seasonal product placement strategy and execution in store/s by implementing effective displays and shopping experiences to increase traffic, drive sales, and foster customer satisfaction.

  • Oversee the in-season presentation management in stores to react to product assortment changes, inventory levels/out-of-stocks and spatial constraints to drive executional consistency throughout the season and across the growing fleet.

  • Assist in integrating seasonal marketing strategy into physical retail experience.

  • Partner with Visual Communications, Merchandising, and Learning & Development teams to deliver VM training (standards guide, floorset direction, VM styling guardrails) to the field.

  • Liaise with internal partners; including Merchandising, Marketing, Promotion, Operations, and Planning/Allocations.

  • Keep abreast of industry and market trends, competitive set, research lifestyle and design trends that will inform the merchandising strategy and keep each brand competitive and relevant in our ever evolving retail landscape.

  • Test, learn, and evolve visual solutions and compare results.

  • Support new store openings.
