Internship Position Title: Visual Merchandising Content Intern

 

The 2027 Ulta Beauty Internship is a structured 10-week program designed to develop future talent and provide interns with a unique and impactful development experience. This program is tailored for rising college Juniors and Seniors, offering Corporate, Field, and Distribution Center internship tracks. The internship will be hybrid for Corporate interns and in-person for Distribution Center and Field interns. Interns will gain hands-on experience in Ulta Beauty’s operations while contributing to business needs, engaging in meaningful projects, and broadening their professional development. The internship program provides real-world experience directly related to the academic discipline and career goals, offering a better understanding of career options.   Hands-on experience working as a member of a specific department and team.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Visual Merchandising Content Intern will support the Secondary Visual Merchandising team by improving the organization, accuracy, and accessibility of operational content, brand resources, signage records, and training materials. This role will provide dedicated ownership of high-value content-management initiatives that support more efficient brand intake, stronger version control, and consistent communication across platforms.

The intern will gain exposure to print production, visual merchandising, promotional execution, content governance, brand partnerships, and mock store planning within a fast-paced retail environment.

 

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• VM Content Review: SharePoint Organization and Governance, consolidating team guidelines and training across multiple share points.Establish intuitive folder structures, naming conventions, and file-management standards.

• VM Brand Resources: Remove outdated or duplicate materials and organize current VM team training, cross functional training, process documentation, and brand-facing guidelines.
• Signage Management & Review:

• • Review secondary signage records in the Cross Cap database and validate that content aligns with current sign directives.
  • Update expiration dates for obsolete signage and identify long-term signage that should remain active.
  • Review and update signage categories to align with category codes.

 

• Graphic Template Cleanup and Intake Optimization

• Audit Box folders to confirm teams and brand partners are using the most current templates and resources.
• Archive obsolete files, improve folder structures, and organize materials to support accurate and efficient brand submissions.
• Help establish a reliable source of truth for production and intake documentation.

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Frontify Brand Guideline Maintenance
  • Support updates to brand guidelines, templates, and process documentation in Frontify.
  • Coordinate updates across Frontify and Box to ensure both platforms provide consistent and current information.
  • Identify outdated or conflicting content and recommend appropriate updates.

 

• Mock Store Process Support
  • Assist with mock store preparation and execution.
  • Coordinate with merchants to track product samples and outstanding materials.
  • Organize samples and supporting resources and assist with the placement of secondary merchandising spaces.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:

• Currently pursuing a degree in visual merchandising, retail management, marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable managing files, data, and multiple workstreams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite; experience with SharePoint, Box, Monday.com or similar content-management platforms is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners.
• Interest in retail, visual merchandising, brand operations, or content management.

 : The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $0.00 / Hour. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
